The pool chemical shelf our own crew pulls from.

This is the pool chemical shelf at Olympic Pool & Spa in west Omaha, the same shelf our service crew pulls from before a cleanup, an opening or a closing. Sanitizer first: Regal 3-inch and 1-inch chlorine tabs, Super Shock in weekly bags and season buckets, liquid shock and dichlor. Then the fixers: Regal, BioGuard, GLB and SeaKlear algaecides, clarifier and floc, phosphate remover, metal and stain removers. Then balance: pH up and down, muriatic acid, stabilizer. And the two heaviest sellers in the store, 40 lb pool salt and 50 lb filter sand, so you can grab them here instead of hauling them from a box store.

What makes a pool store different from an aisle is the water test. Bring a sample and we test it free while you wait, then write down what to add, how much, and in what order. That matters most after Omaha weather: a heavy rain dilutes chlorine and stabilizer and washes phosphates into the pool, a hot week burns chlorine off by noon, and the first cold nights in October mean it is time for closing chemicals. Our guide on what heavy rain does to pool water is the short version.

Order online and it is at the counter the same day; no shipping, no shipping cost. Hot tubs need their own, smaller-dose products, on the hot tub chemicals shelf next to the Wellis showroom.

What pool chemicals do I need every week?

A sanitizer (chlorine tabs in a floater or feeder), a weekly shock, and a test. Add a maintenance algaecide in the hot months and adjust pH and alkalinity when the strips say so. Everything else is for a specific problem.

What brands of pool chemicals do you carry?

Regal is the house line (tabs, shock, balancers, algaecide, phosphate remover), plus BioGuard, GLB, SeaKlear, Natural Chemistry (Phosfree), Champion liquid shock, Jack's Magic and the Frog mineral systems.

Do you test pool water for free?

Yes, during store hours, while you wait. Bring a clean bottle filled elbow-deep away from a return within a few hours of pulling it.

What should I add after a heavy rain?

Test first. Usually chlorine (a shock dose), then stabilizer and alkalinity back to range, and a clarifier if it stays cloudy. Rain also brings phosphates, so a phosphate remover is worth it if algae keeps coming back.

Do you deliver pool chemicals?

No, pickup only. Order online and it is ready at 16902 Wright Plaza, Ste 160, usually the same day, with no shipping cost.

Do you sell hot tub chemicals too?

Yes, a full shelf: bromine, dichlor, spa shock, enzymes, clarifiers, filter cleaners and the Spa Marvel line, on the hot tub chemicals page.
