What we build, how long it takes, and what to expect.
Custom inground pools designed for your yard, built with polymer walls and a vinyl liner — the construction we've used for Nebraska's freeze-thaw for more than two decades. We also carry Splash Superpools above-ground pools if you'd rather skip excavation and set one up yourself.
All three hold up here when built right, and we service all three. What we build is vinyl liner on polymer walls: polymer resists rust and corrosion and flexes with Nebraska's temperature swings, the liner is replaced every several years, and it's the most accessible way into inground ownership. Gunite is fully custom but slowest to build and its plaster wants more brushing; fiberglass is a molded shell, fast but limited to set shapes. Read the full comparison →
Most builds run several weeks to a few months from first dig to first swim, depending on size, design, and weather. Vinyl-liner builds are on the faster end; a gunite shell built on site takes longer. You'll get a realistic schedule before we break ground, and updates as it moves.

Cost depends on size, materials, and features, so we don't guess — you get a free estimate after we've talked through your project. Financing is available through poolloan.net, plus military discounts for active-duty and veterans.
Around Omaha, openings run April through June and closings August through October. Close before the first hard freeze — that matters more than the calendar. We book by the week; pick yours on the opening & closing page.
Opening: pool filled to mid-skimmer, equipment out where we can install it. Closing: water lowered about four inches below the returns, gates unlocked, covers, caps, and plugs left out.
Test weekly in swim season: sanitizer (chlorine or salt), pH, alkalinity, and calcium hardness, with a shock after heavy use or a storm. Rather not juggle test kits? We can test and balance the water as part of an opening or service visit. Test strips and chemicals are in the store and online.
If you want more than a short summer, yes. A heater adds weeks on both ends of the season. We retrofit efficient heaters into existing pools, with variable-speed pumps and smart controls to keep operating costs down. More on heating →
A proper winterization: lines blown out and protected with antifreeze, equipment disconnected, shock and algaecide added, safety cover on. Winterize a city water fill line too. Sand filters want fresh sand about every two years; closing is a good time.

Delivery and setup are scheduled with you. You'll need a level, solid base — a concrete pad or a deck built to carry the weight — and a clear path wide enough for the spa. Tell us about your yard when you order; we'll flag anything tricky.
Most full-size spas run on a dedicated 220-volt circuit with a GFCI disconnect near the spa. Some smaller models plug into a standard 110-volt outlet. Have your electrician run power before delivery so the spa can fill and heat the day it lands.
Rinse filters regularly, keep sanitizer and pH in range, and drain and refill every few months. We keep customers' water simple with Spa Marvel products, stocked in the store. Rather not do the drain-and-clean yourself? We'll do it.
