Drain and clean, water testing and balancing, filter and cover care, a look before the first freeze. For the Wellis tubs we sold and the brands we didn't, across Omaha, Papillion, La Vista and the metro.
A hot tub asks for about ten minutes a week: test, adjust the sanitizer and pH, rinse the filter. Then every few months the water needs to go, the shell needs a proper clean, and the filter needs more than a rinse. Skip those and the symptoms show up as a heater that trips on low flow, a pump that strains, jets that foam, a cover that weighs forty pounds. A lot of hot tub repair calls start as a service job that never happened. Code on the display? What FLO, OH, dr and SN mean →
Our service crew does the quarterly drain and clean, the water testing and the filter care on a schedule, so the tub is simply ready when you walk out to it. We maintain our own clients' water with Spa Marvel and sell everything you need at the counter, and the technicians are the same factory-trained crew that delivers and repairs tubs across the metro.
"Eric was wonderful about coming to our house and making sure our chemicals were right and then provided valuable information during set up. So far, everything is working great. Thank you Joni, Eric and the rest at Olympic Pool and Spa!"
- Ed M.
Book one visit or put the tub on a plan. Either way it is our own crew, never subcontracted.
The hot tub cleaning service most owners book quarterly: drained, shell vacuumed, wiped and sanitized, electrical safety-tested, pumps assembled, filters cleaned, refilled and restarted. Also the spring start-up and the fall shutdown. Book it online →
pH, sanitizer, alkalinity and calcium, tested free at the counter while you wait, or on your schedule at the tub. Small bodies of water move fast; small doses, often, is the whole trick.
Weekly rinse, monthly chemical soak, yearly replacement. A tired cartridge starves the heater and trips the flow switch. Sundance and Horizon filters are on the shelf; other brands are ordered by model.
A waterlogged cover lets heat escape all winter and runs up the bill. We measure for a new cover, fit a cover lifter so it actually gets used, and carry headrests, steps and accessories.
Most owners keep soaking all winter: water held at temperature, cover strapped, freeze protection on, snow cleared off the cover. Want a technician to look it over before the first hard freeze? Book a service visit. Owners who shut down book the drain and clean instead.
Testing, balancing, filter care and the quarterly drain and clean on a calendar that fits how often you soak. The same personalized plans our pool clients use, sized for a tub.
The tub is pumped down and the shell exposed. If the water has gone a long time between changes, a line-flush product the week before lifts the film the filter never sees; ask at the counter.
Shell vacuumed, wiped down and sanitized, the filters cleaned, or replaced if they are past it, with the cabinet panels checked while they are open.
Electrical safety-tested, pumps assembled and purged of air, the tub refilled and restarted and brought back up to temperature.
Bring a sample to the counter after the refill for a free test and the first doses, and you have the simple weekly routine for the next three months.
We are the Omaha-area Wellis dealer, with seven tubs filled and wired on the showroom floor at 16902 Wright Plaza, and we deliver and set up every tub we sell. The same factory-trained technicians service hot tubs of any brand afterward: Sundance and Horizon parts are stocked at the store, and other brands are ordered by model. Our technicians are licensed and insured, and the work is done by our own crew.
What to have ready for a service visit. The brand and model (the label is inside the cabinet door or on the control box), when the water was last changed, which chemicals you use, and clear access to the tub and the cabinet panels. For a drain and clean, a place for the water to go: a lawn is fine, a storm drain is not.
Hot tub service routes cover Omaha, Papillion, La Vista, Bellevue, Elkhorn, Gretna, Bennington, Ralston, Millard, Springfield, Waterloo and Council Bluffs. Looking at a new tub instead? Our Omaha hot tub buying guide covers sizing, power and winter, and the showroom is open Mon–Fri 9–5, Saturday 10–4.
Every three to four months for a tub that gets regular use. Sanitizer and balancers build up dissolved solids the filter cannot remove, and the water starts fighting you: cloudy, foamy, hard to hold a reading. A drain and clean resets it. Book it on the booking page or add it to a maintenance plan.
The tub is drained, the shell is vacuumed, wiped down and sanitized, the electrical is safety-tested, the pumps are assembled, the filters are cleaned, and the tub is refilled, restarted and brought back to temperature. It is the same visit in spring as a start-up and in fall for owners who shut the tub down for winter.
Yes. Wellis is on our showroom floor and we stock Sundance and Horizon parts, and the same technicians service hot tubs of any brand across the metro. If the tub needs a repair rather than service, that is the hot tub repair page, same crew.
The spa drain and clean is a flat plan priced on the booking page. Maintenance plans are built around how often you soak and how much you want handled, so those are quoted after a quick conversation; water testing at the counter is free.
Yes, and it is the best season to own one. Keep the water at temperature rather than cycling it, keep the cover on with the strap locked, clear snow off the cover rather than letting it load up, and let the freeze-protection mode do its job. If you would rather shut down, book a drain and clean before the first hard freeze and never leave a tub half-full with the power off.
Rinse the cartridge with a hose about once a week, soak it in a filter cleaner about once a month, and replace it when it no longer comes clean or the pleats fray, usually about once a year. A starved filter is behind a lot of heater and flow problems. Sundance and Horizon filters are on the shelf at the store; other brands are ordered by model.
Yes. A plan can cover water testing and balancing, filter care and the quarterly drain and clean, on a schedule that fits your tub and your calendar, with a pre-winter visit if you want one. Request service and tell us the brand, the model and how often the tub gets used.
Yes. Bring a sample to the counter at 16902 Wright Plaza and we test it while you wait and tell you what to add, in what order. The spa chemicals and sanitizers and balancers you need are on the shelf behind the showroom, or online for same-day pickup.
Almost always the water. Foam is usually body oils, detergent on swimsuits or an old cartridge; cloudiness is low sanitizer, high dissolved solids or a filter that needs a soak. Start with a free water test. If the water is right and the tub still misbehaves, a weak pump or a failing heater is next, and that is a repair visit.
