A vinyl liner pool is the inground pool we build, and we build it on polymer walls on purpose: no rust, no corrosion, walls that move with the clay instead of cracking against it, and a liner you replace in days when its time comes, not a pool you replace. Twenty-plus years of them around Omaha, with a Wellis hot tub beside more than a few.
An inground liner pool is a structure first: the hole is excavated to your shape and depth, structural polymer wall panels are set and braced on a footing around it, the floor and the steps, benches and sun shelf are formed, and the plumbing and the equipment pad go in. Then the liner, measured to that exact shape, is set and vacuumed smooth, the pool is filled and the deck is poured.
Why polymer. Polymer walls resist corrosion, rust and oxidation, and they have the flexibility to ride out Nebraska's freeze-thaw cycles and clay soil without the cracking a rigid shell can show. That is the construction we have used for more than twenty years of Omaha backyards.
Why vinyl. The liner is smooth, comes in a wide range of patterns and colors, and is the easiest pool surface to own: no plaster to brush, no shell to refinish. It lasts ten to fifteen years here, and replacing it is a few days of work, not a rebuild.

All three materials hold up here when built right, and we service all three. Here is the honest trade.
Custom shape, fastest build, lowest-maintenance surface, walls that never rust. The liner is a wear item on a ten-to-fifteen-year clock, and that is the whole trade-off.
A pre-molded shell, so the shapes and sizes are the factory's, and the yard and the gate have to accept a shell the size of the pool. Flexes with ground movement and installs fast.
Concrete sprayed over steel on site: any shape, a build of several months, and a porous plaster surface that wants more brushing, more chemicals and periodic refinishing. The full comparison →

The acreage rectangle with the tanning ledge, the slide pool with the stained deck, the volleyball pool with the stone seating wall, the hoop pool under a storm sky: every pool in our gallery is a custom vinyl liner pool on polymer walls, in Omaha, Papillion, Elkhorn, Gretna, Bellevue, Bennington and across the river. What they cost is decided by the yard before the pool: access, grade, soil and well water, then the equipment, the deck and the extras. What drives the price of an inground pool in Omaha →

An inground pool whose structure is a wall system set on a footing around an excavated hole, with a custom-fit vinyl liner forming the waterproof interior. Ours use structural polymer wall panels. The liner is measured to the exact shape of the pool, so the pool can be any size, shape or depth you draw, and when the liner wears out you replace the liner, not the pool. How a liner replacement goes →
Polymer wall panels do not rust, corrode or oxidize, and they flex with the freeze-thaw movement of Nebraska clay instead of fighting it. Steel-wall liner pools are common in the Midwest and they work, but a steel panel that stays wet behind the liner for twenty winters is the part we would rather not bet on.
Most liners give ten to fifteen years here. Sun and chemicals chalk the material above the waterline and the bead stiffens with age; balanced water, a cover and a proper fall closing get you to the long end of that range.
Yes. Rectangles, freeform curves, kidneys, Lazy-L and sport-depth pools shallow at both ends, with a sun shelf, steps and benches formed into the structure and the liner cut to match.
Yes. A salt chlorine generator and a traditional chlorine feeder both work in Omaha with a liner pool; salt gives softer water and less chlorine to buy, and the salt cell gets cleaned on the service schedule.
Vinyl liner is the fastest inground build, the easiest to own and the only one where the shape is truly yours. Fiberglass is a factory-molded shell, so the yard has to fit the shell. Gunite is sprayed concrete, any shape, but a build of several months and a plaster surface that wants more brushing and chemicals. The full comparison for Omaha’s climate →
The yard moves the number more than the pool: access, grade, soil and well water, then the equipment, the decking and the extras. We walk the site and write one line-item quote. What drives the price →
Yes. A replacement liner is measured and cut new, so you pick a new pattern and color from the current books; most owners treat it as a chance to update the look of the whole pool.
Yes. A Wellis hot tub sits on the deck, plumbed and wired during the build so nothing gets torn up later, and seven of them stand filled in our showroom to wet-test. The hot tubs →
