Olympic Pool & Spa has designed and built custom inground pools across Omaha, Papillion, Elkhorn, Gretna, Bellevue and the rest of the metro for more than twenty years. One family-owned swimming pool contractor handles the design, the permit, the installation and every season after, and a Wellis hot tub can go in beside it.
At Olympic Pool & Spa, we specialize in custom in-ground pools that bring beauty, fun, and lasting value to your home. Whether you're imagining a sleek, modern escape or a vibrant, family-friendly space, we customize each build to match your lifestyle and property — and we're with you through the entire process, from first sketch to first swim.
Built to stand the test of time. We offer polymer and vinyl-liner construction. Polymer walls resist corrosion, rust, and oxidation, with superior durability, flexibility, and strength through Nebraska's temperature swings.
One company for the life of the pool. The crew that digs and plumbs your pool is the same crew that opens it every spring and closes it every fall, fixes it when something fails and replaces the liner when the time comes, and the store behind our showroom at 168th & Center stocks the chemicals, parts and robot cleaners it runs on. Looking at a hot tub too? Seven Wellis spas stand filled on the showroom floor so you can wet-test one while we plan the pool.

Omaha pool builders work in three materials: vinyl liner, fiberglass and gunite. We build custom vinyl-liner pools on polymer wall systems, and we build them that way on purpose: the walls never rust, corrode or oxidize, they flex with the freeze-thaw movement of Nebraska clay instead of fighting it, and an inground liner pool can be any shape, size or depth you can draw. When the liner reaches the end of its life, ten to fifteen years on, you replace the liner, not the pool.
Structural polymer wall panels, a custom-fit liner in the pattern you choose, any shape or depth, the fastest inground build and the easiest to own. Built for the clay soil and the winters here. Vinyl liner pools in Omaha → · liner replacement →
A pre-molded shell set into the excavation. It flexes with ground movement and installs fast, but the shapes and sizes come from a factory mold, so the yard has to fit the shell rather than the other way around.
Concrete sprayed over steel on site, so any shape is possible. Builds run several months, and the porous plaster surface wants more brushing, more chemicals and more frequent balancing, with cosmetic cracks over time. Read the full comparison →
Plan the extras with the pool, not after it. Plumbing and electrical for a spa, a heater, lighting and automation are far cheaper to run once during the build than to add later.
A tanning ledge a few inches deep for little kids and loungers, with built-in benches and steps where you actually want them.
A spillover spa built into the pool and sharing its equipment, or a Wellis hot tub set on the deck for twelve-month soaking, plumbed and wired during the build. The hot tubs →
A gas heater or heat pump turns a three-month pool into an April-to-October one. We size it, install it and service it. Pool heating →
Color LED lighting for evening swims, plus fiber-optic systems that fill a pool with soft light, all wired before the deck is poured.
Smart controls run the pump, heater and lights from your phone; a salt chlorine generator means softer water and less chlorine to buy.
Slides, basketball hoops, volleyball nets and diving boards, planned with the depth profile so they are safe to use for years.
Waterfalls, bubblers and fountains, plumbed during the build so they run quietly off the same equipment pad.
Broom-finished concrete, pavers or stamped finishes; LOOP-LOC safety covers and automatic covers; patios, fire tables and lighting coordinated with your landscaper and fence contractor so nothing gets torn up twice.
Choosing the right pool shape matters as much as the right features. Rectangles, freeform curves, the classic kidney, a Lazy-L or a sport-depth pool that is shallow at both ends: every shape is crafted with both function and beauty in mind.
Clean lines, lap-friendly, timeless — the architectural choice, and the one most Omaha backyards ask for.
Organic curves that flow with your landscape for a natural, resort feel.
The classic backyard silhouette — soft, social, and family-friendly.
A compact plunge pool for a small lot, or a sport-depth pool that is shallow at both ends for volleyball and hoops — a custom liner pool is any size you need.
Pool design, permit, installation and start-up by one contractor, for new pool construction and for replacing a pool that has reached the end of its life. Most inground pool installations finish in a matter of weeks once the ground is open, depending on design complexity and weather — with daily communication the whole way.
A no-cost conversation about your vision, backyard layout, and budget.
A pool designed for your space — shapes, features, and finishes for your review.
We navigate local permits and codes so your build stays on track.
Skilled crews handle excavation, installation, and equipment setup.
Systems, water balance, and finishes reviewed before we call it done.
Nebraska winters stop outdoor construction from late fall to early spring. Sign in fall or winter and you are first in line for a spring dig; April and May signings still get built, later in the season. What the build looks like, step by step →
Every metro city requires a building permit and a compliant barrier. Omaha and Elkhorn go through Omaha Permits & Inspections; Papillion, La Vista, Bellevue and Gretna through their own cities; Bennington and acreage lots through Douglas or Sarpy County; Council Bluffs under Iowa code. We pull them and schedule the inspections.
We walk the yard, draw the pool and write one line-item quote: excavation and haul-off, the wall system and liner, the equipment by model, the decking, the permit and the start-up. What drives the price →

Custom in-ground pool construction and vinyl liner pools, tailored to your design preferences.
We build custom vinyl-liner pools on polymer walls, and we chose that construction for Nebraska's clay and freeze-thaw cycles on purpose. Our guide compares gunite, fiberglass and vinyl liner in Omaha’s climate honestly; if your project calls for something we do not build, we will say so.
